For those who happen to care, I recently set up a Xanga account and will be posting there primarily. I may be posting here occasionally as well. Just FYI. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=damandred7

Subject:Holy guns batman!
Security:Public

OK, so I shot some guns today. Alright, I shot a lot of guns today. Me, Ben, my dad grandma and grandpa, mom and brother went up to the farm today. I brought my Mosin-Nagant M1891/30(7.64x54R), Dad brought his over-under shotgun (12 awg), semi-auto shotgun (20 awg), Ruger 10/22 rifle (.22), Smith and Wesson revolver (.22), Ruger 22/45 hand gun (.22), Walther P22 handgun (.22). My Grandpa brought his lever-action rifle (.22) and his shotgun (bolt action! 12 awg). Ben brought (deep breath) his Ruger 10/22, Mosin-Nagant M1944, M1 Garrand (30-06), Remington pump shotgun (12 awg), and his Remington Field master rifle (.22).

Now for the crazy part. Ben and I each shot up about 100 7.62mm x 54R rounds. We went through about 100 shotgun shells. Ben shot up 24 30-06 rounds for his M1 Garrand. And we shot somewhere between 2000 and 2500 .22 cal rounds. Yes, I'm serious.

Anyway, I had some fun obviously. I even recorded some of it with my video camera. What an awesome day.

I'm so busy lately that it sucks. I can't read for pleasure, which gets rid of a lot of relaxation. I can't think. I can't talk to people. It's just frustrating.

I never thought a Saturday could actually suck. What did I do, you ask? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. (Stupid! You're so stuuupid!! Sorry, I had to finish the reference to UHF) I think I actually broke my record for hours of video games played in one day all by myself. I don't know what the record was before, but I think this cleared it by a long long ways. *Shakes head*. I need more to do now that school's started again, because no one's home any more...

Steve and Christy (and Brianna) called today from their new house in Iowa. That made my day more than I can explain, especially since I wasn't able to say goodbye to them before they left.

Donna's mom passed away today. Pray for her.

Also, I'm helping Steve and Christy move out tomorrow. Pray for me. I don't think I can make it without crying.

Why bother? It's me and my God. No one else. No one else is here, and I don't know how to put my trust Him. I'm so tired of this crap. It's useless to even post on here. But I do. Why?

Subject:Bin 1248 is dying!!!
Security:Public

So, everyone should have noticed by now that bin 1248 in the Meijer bulk food section is diminishing. They took out the sour cherry coke bottles, gummy strawberries, gummy frogs, and a few other things. So, Rick and I called their bulk food department recently, and the lady was also quite angry about this. Apparently, they were importing those gummies, among others from Germany. Meijer was supposedly not making enough money off of these gummies, so they have discontinued all gummy imports from that particular company in Germany.

We must fight back! They took our sour coke bottles, and before we know it, they'll take our guns. What's next?

God has been tugging at my heart lately. My mind always twists things around so much that I hardly know where I'm standing. All I know is that I never spend enough time with my God. The only God. His son DIED for me, and I can't even pray for an hour. "(37) Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. 'Simon,' he said to Peter, 'are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? (38) Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.'" I don't know. All I know is that I am saved by faith, through grace, and that in all my inadequacies, He will still use me as He plans. I don't know how to give more, but I want to.

For those of you who may happen upon this post, maybe this will help you out, but for me, I just want to get stuff out of my head, so I can figure out what I'm thinking.

Subject:Last Bible study
Security:Public

Tonight was the last Bible study at Steve and Christy's house ever. Steve started going to seminary, and Siemens knew that he would quit to be a youth pastor eventually, so they fired him. This led him to begin a job search. He got an interview in Iowa for a youth pastor job. So they are leaving in two weeks.

God has done more work in my life through Steve than anyone else and I would not be in the spiritual state I am today without him. I think he's the only person I've ever been able to trust completely, and he's moving away. I know that God has amazing plans for his and Christy's lives in Iowa, but I can't help but be selfish and wish he were staying. As emotional as I am even because of stupid things, this is way beyond anything that I'm going to be able to handle. I don't want it to create a hole in our church, but everyone will miss him, Christy, Brianna and Isaac very much, I'm sure.

What did the dislexic agnostic insomniac do?

Today was pretty fun. I went to church, came home and had a real meal. I love asparagus. Then Aaron came over, so I showed him my rifle, then I went to mess with his speakers. Strange things happen. After that, I went to Seth's and we had pizza and played cards. A bunch of people were there, but Molly wasn't there right away. I was beginning to think she wouldn't show, but I understand her reasons for being late. I was just glad, because she was one of the people I hadn't seen since the mission trip. Kelsey didn't make it, among others. So we played rummy, and she killed us. It was really fun. I hope they can make it to my house on the 29th. Seth won't be home to tell everyone during his youth group, but I don't want my parents to give up their afternoon and yet have no one come. Either way, I am very thankful for these friends. I am often paranoid about whether my friends are real, but I feel that these are. It was tons of fun either way.

Subject:Mosin-Nagant M91/30
Security:Public

This morning (saturday), I went to the gun and knife show at the Deltaplex with Ben and Seth. I bought two wooden practice swords, a Mosin-Nagant M91/30 bolt-action rifle from WWII, 800 rounds of 7.62x54R (measurements in mm), a soft-sided case for it, and two strip-clips. The gun was $99, the ammo was $65, and that's all that matters.

The gun shoots like a friggin dream, and I couldn't have managed to make a better purchase for my skill level and amount of time I have to shoot in a million years.

Seth, Ben and I went to Ben's house and shot off about 500 rounds of .22LR rounds, 50 7.62x54R, and a few .30 carbine rounds for his M1A1 carbine. Tons of fun. I think Seth's going to have a sore shoulder because he hadn't done much of that before. 22s are really fun, but after shooting something as large as the Mosin, I brace for a big kick and it seems like nothing. It's pretty funny. We came back, and had Quiznos on the way home. I had a chicken Carbonara, which is awesome! All in all, it was a wicked sweet day, and I want to shoot more more more. I even got to read about 70-80 pages in Winter's Heart. Slow but steady...

If none of this makes sense, here's a page that has some pretty good info about the M91/30 that I purchased.

Seth and I went to the farm, and we ate, played cribbage, and shot my two ruger .22 guns (10/22 rifle; hand gun). That was awesome. I need to adjust the sights on the 10/22. Then, we went to see the bourne supremacy, which was very good. Lots of people there. And then, Seth, Steve and I went to Katie Bonino's house. We ate her out of house and home, and played cards. I was roasting in there because it was hot. I think we all laughed more than I've laughed in years. So much fun. We played cribbage, hearts and euchre. Awesome times. And I need sleep.

I went to the Silver Bullet with my dad before work yesterday. So we bought a Ruger 10/22. .22 caliber, obviously. lol. I think it's stainless steel on maple. 10 round magazine, and we bought 1050 rounds for it. So excited to shoot it!

Today was sweet. I put a modem in aaron's computer, and then put my video card in. Which consequently fried the power supply. So we went to GPC to buy a new one. And because Gateways suck, we didn't think it would fit, but it did. Wicked sweet. Then rick came over, then he left, and later, I went to his house to play hearts with his family for about 3 hours. And then we talked about wheel of time and random stuff for a while; awesome. And book 11 is supposed to come out October 2005, which makes me cry. It's such a long time. The name is cool, though: "Knife of Dreams"

I'm going to be up at Baptist lake on these dates. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, call 616.334.4185. That's my cell, and I'll try to check it as much as possible. I'll be driving in for work every day, and coming in tomorrow to swim at Emily Goods' with the youth group. Anyway, have a nice week.

Subject:Awesome 4th of July
Security:Public

This weekend, I went to scott's cottage from friday to monday morning. We did some fun stuff. Lots of riding in boats, tubing, knee boarding, etc. My family is renting up there from the 10-17 of July, so I can wake board since I didn't get around to it. Seth, Jim and I stayed up there. I got to hang out a bunch with Eric, Aubree, Jon Jon, etc and all of the lake peops. After that, I came home, took a shower, and left for Grand Haven. We went with Steve Thornell, Seth, Sarah Butcher who I hadn't met before, Katie Bonino, Anna Schaap, John Albrecht and James Wallington.

Grand Haven was sweet. We went down to the beach, and it was cold. After a while, we went to the Snug Harbor. I got some quesadillas (that can't be spelled right) and a bowl of white chile. They have AWESOME white chile there. Then we went outside, and seth and I got pronto pups (best corn dogs ever). And from there, to the YMCA and up the big sand hill, which was followed by people running/rolling down. Which was why we went swimming in the Grand Isle Marina pool. And from there, we went to Donna's house. I love Donna...mean it! She's an awesome lady. She bought us pizza, we played spoons, took a walk, tried to start a fire, then helped her with some yard work. And then the day was done. Awesome weekend. So sweet. I'm off now.

Going to Scott's right after work for the weekend. I want to wake board some more, but I'll be fine if I just have some fun. Andrea, Amy, Jon Jon, Eric, Scott, Seth, Jim, and Emily Workema, who I have never met...I think that's a recipe for fun. We'll see. After that (Monday morning) I'm going to Grand Haven with a bunch of people from the mission trip. Woohoo! It's already been a week since I've seen any of them, and I miss them all. Can't wait.

So, Garrett, Seth and Fernanda went to the midnight showing of Spiderman 2 last night. Friggin AWESOME!!! I didn't think it could be better than the first one. It was. So good. Now, we just have to wait for Ghost Rider, Fantastic 4, X-Men 3, etc. Eventually. It'll be slow. Theater 1 rocks!
